Phil Dunshee, MPA – President
Phil is the President and founder of Enterprise MidAmerica and Enterprise Iowa (EMA-EI), and he manages projects while also overseeing business development, staffing and administration for client organizations and EMA-EI.
From 1994 to 1999 Mr. Dunshee served as the Deputy Director for the Iowa Department of Economic Development. Mr. Dunshee was the chief administrative officer for the department, and acted as the primary leader for the development and implementation of policy and budget initiatives.
Mr. Dunshee’s career in public administration, government relations and policy development began in 1980 with the Iowa Association of School Boards where he served as Government Relations Director beginning in 1984. He was appointed to the staff of Governor Terry E. Branstad in 1989, and served as a senior policy advisor on education, workforce, and economic development issues.
Mr. Dunshee is a native of Burlington, Iowa, and a graduate of Southeastern Community College. He earned a B.S. in economics at the University of Iowa and holds a Masters of Public Administration degree from Drake University.
Heather Goodwin
Heather currently serves as the Executive Director for the Johnston Chamber of Commerce. She also serves as a program manager and administrator for business and economic development projects.
Heather is a native of Des Moines, Iowa and has worked in the Non-Profit Community for 13 years. She received a BA in Human Resource Management from Upper Iowa University in Fayette.
