We are a firm dedicated to helping states, communities and companies become more competitive.  Our focus on competitiveness continuously presents us with diverse issues and tasks, and we have drawn upon our core skills of project management, planning, facilitation, public relations and communications, organization management and bi-partisan public policy expertise to help our clients achieve their goals. We continue to build capacity to do even more by expanding our project management skills and using new web tools to support project team collaboration.

• Serving as the project management firm guiding the Iowa Land Records system, the first statewide web portal for electronic recording of real estate documents, and web-based access to real estate records.

• Helping a major university extension service plan for its future services and operations in a new era of financial uncertainty and changing demography.
   

• Organizing conferences on e-commerce and business process redesign.
   

• Researching and developing a state economic development strategy for supporting key industry clusters such as life sciences, advanced manufacturing and advanced telecommunications.
   

• Helping communities develop local economic development plans.
   

• Facilitating and mediating discussions, and sometimes negotiating agreements, among people and organizations representing diverse interests.
